Have no fear, we know you don’t want to be orange! Don’t worry, Jill Miller has mastered the art of spray tanning! There are two main factors that go into making your skin look orange: poorly treated DHA and how sensitive your skin is to tanning.  You don’t have either to worry about with the solution we carry and the training we have! Jill has received numerous reviews, referrals, and has also won a best of beauty award from Allure Magazine for her natural spray tans!

What you need to know for pre-tan care and post-tan care

Take a shower, preferably 12+ hours prior, and be careful to rinse off all shampoo and soap. Do not apply any deodorant, moisturizer, lotion, cream, or makeup before your spray tan. These products will block the spray tan from setting to its fullest. We will provide wipes to remove product if needed. Exfoliation is the single most important aspect of your before-appointment regimen. Proper exfoliation will increase the quality and life of your tan. We do suggest that you wear or bring dark, loose clothing so that your clothes do not rub against the spray tan while it is developing.

Post-tan care:
To ensure that the tan is given enough time to properly develop do not go swimming or work out during the 8 hours that your tan is setting. Your first shower should always be just a rinse. Avoid oil based products post tanning as oil will accelerate the breakdown of your tan. Keeping your skin well moisturized with an oil free moisturizer will have your tan looking its best longer!

A great product we also carry for your spray tan-extending skincare at home:

Shower Glow™ DHA-Infused Body Wash

Boosts your tan even while you shower! A carefully measured dose of DHA extends your radiant sunless glow by up to 3 days. Leaves your skin feeling clean, soft and refreshed.

Most shower soaps and body washes fade a sunless tan. Now with Aviva Inspires Shower Glow™ you can wash with the confidence that your spray tan investment is protected. This non-drying foaming cleanser is formulated with all-natural, plant-derived ingredients. It gently lifts dirt and removes surface impurities. For facial and body use.

This colorless gel goes on streak-free and dries in seconds. Tan Restore Sunless Tanning Gel heals dehydrated and prematurely aging skin while controlling the formation of free radicals that damage cells. When used on its own as a self-tanning gel, the light natural-looking glow stays luminous for up to 7 days.

Tan Restore Sunless Tanning Gel is oil-free, alcohol-free and infused with Dead Sea mineral salts, Vitamin A and Vitamin E. pH-balanced and designed for all skin types. Hypoallergenic and paraben-free.

Once the spray tan begins to fade, rub gel into skin in small circular motions. Use sparingly around inside of knees, elbows, and ankles. For face, apply coin-sized amount and rub gently in small circular motions, blending well into hairline. Wash hands thoroughly after applying. Do not shower or exercise strenuously for 8 hours, as tan fully develops. Wash hands thoroughly after handling product. After a spray tan, use every 3 to 4 days as required to restore any faded spots.
